The story takes place some years after the first Rearmed, and works exactly the same way: it's a 2D side scroller, where the character follows from left to right on the screen, battling enemies and overcoming obstacles.įor many fans it might seem that the new command to make the character jump on screen is an outrage, but the reports made by critics who were at the event in Los Angeles suggests otherwise. The sequel brings back Nathan Spencer, now redesigned in search of an agent missing in a country run by a dictator. New levels, changes in gameplay and the most important of all: the ability to jump. Indeed, this sequel is nothing more than a set of additions to the traditional concept of the franchise. Now, Capcom had the idea to do a sequel for Rearmed, presented briefly at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) this year. Bionic Commando Rearmed tried to bring the old formula to the current generation of consoles with very expressive visuals.
